Max Lippman

Born in Long Island, New York, Max began his formative training with the Seiskaya Ballet Academy under the direction of Mme. Valia Seiskaya. During his time with the Seiskaya Ballet Academy he performed several roles including Basilio and Espada in Don Quixote, Philippe in The Flames of Paris Pas de Deux, and Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker.
In May of 2022, Max graduated cum laude from Butler University's department of dance with a BA in Dance Pedagogy with high distinction. While at Butler, Max received several scholarship awards including the Peggy Dorsey memorial Scholarship, two outstanding Performance awards from the Jordan College of the Arts, and was showcased in several productions, dancing soloist and principal roles in works such as Gerald Arpino’s Light Rain, Balanchine's Serenade, Giselle as Count Albrecht, Four Garcons in Raymonda, and the Nutcracker Prince in The Nutcracker. Along with his performance experiences at Butler, Max has also guest performed with the Indianapolis Ballet, Central Indiana Academy of Dance, the Performing Arts School of Pennsylvania, and the New Albany Ballet Company in productions including The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Bolero, The Firebird, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Along with performing, Max is also a passionate teacher, being a full-time faculty member at United Ballet Theater Academy as well as a guest teacher with Emerging Artists/3D motion dance center (Apopka, Florida), Central Indiana Academy of Dance (Carmel, Indiana), and Butler Community Arts School (Indianapolis, Indiana). Outside of dance, Max is also an accomplished musician on the saxophone and voice, receiving recognition as both an All-State, and All-County musician in New York state. Max has even had the honor of performing at Manhattan's Carnegie Hall twice.
