Alycia Williams, Second Year Trainee

Alycia Williams is currently on her second season with United Ballet Theatre as a Trainee. Williams received her formal training in the Ballet Academy North professional division under the direction of Kelly Yankle. Williams has ranked high in multiple YAGP competitions, ICON dance awards and ADCIBC for her classical variations and contemporary works. She was invited to YAGP festival in Genoa, Italy and she was the youngest dancer chosen by Washington Ballet’s Resident Choreographer, Mimi Miccolis, to perform his new work in the gala at ADCIBC in 2019.

 

She has attended Cincinnati Ballet, Texas Ballet Theatre, Elite Classical Coaching, Juilliard summer intensive, and was recently offered an opportunity to train with Annabella Sanches in Portugal. Williams has performed the role of Odile, Sugar Plum Fairy, Aurora, Gamzatti, Cinderella, and Clare in Houston Urban Nutcracker and United Ballet theatre’s Nutcracker. She is a recipient of the EJB scholarship and her biggest accomplishment is performing on Broadway with Twyla Tharp along side many amazing dancers such as, Robbie Fairchild, James Gilmer, Aran Bell, Jacquelin Harris, Sara Mearns, Tiler Peck, Cassandra Trenary, and Roman Mejia.
