Zoica Tovar is one of the United Ballet Theatre Academy Co-Directors along with her husband Andres Esteves. She is the originator of the curriculum that the academy follows that focuses introducing the functional elements of ballet in a progressive manner so that the student athletes of art excel in every level and graduate being able to meet the demands of being a professional ballet dancer today.
She also works as part-time ballet mistress for the company.
Ms. Tovar, a graduate from the Cuban Ballet National School- has an extensive resume including Principal Dancer for Orlando Ballet enduring 4 different artistic directors during her tenure, and Principal Dancer with BalletMet where she later retired dancing to transition as a part of the faculty teaching the company's trainee program, school, second and main company.
She wrote, along with Andres Estevez, the Classical Ballet Studies registered curriculum used by United Ballet Theatre Academy.
